Nora Orlandi - "A Doppia Faccia"
Undeniably, the Italians were on all the right drugs when composing their 1960's film soundtracks. 'A Doppia Faccia', composed by Nora Orlandi, is no exception.

Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina - "Osculetur me"
Sacred music of the 16th century. Inspired by the 'Song of Songs', known to many as the most erotic book of the Old Testament. Composed by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1526-1594) and performed by Stile Antico, a British vocal ensemble, whose name means, literally, "ancient style".
An image made from micrographic Hebrew letters of verses from The Song of Songs by Baruch Ben Shmariahu (1794). Micrography is a Jewish art form, developed in Tiberias, in the 9th century C.E. The word shir (song) is in the center.

Reet Hendrikson - "Meil Aiaaarne Tanavas"
Reet Hendrikson is as mysterious a musical figure as may exist in our modern, internet saturated culture. As the vast wealth of human knowledge is unceasingly compiled by data-crawling serpents and strewn before us in the form of RSS feeds, news aggregators and endless Wiki's, Reet Hendrikson remains an uncertainty. Search as you might, there is little to illuminate her history online. An Estonian teenage girl singing sweet songs of forlorn loss and labor. Her only album, 'Reet', released in 1969, out of Canada, on Reindeer Records.
Here is the track listing, descriptions and English translations of the song titles, as printed on the back of the original vinyl.
